About Shirley Azoulai,LCSW

I am a clinically trained psychotherapist with credentials from the Columbia University School of Social Work. I am licensed by the State of New York as an LCSW and am a member of The National Association of Social Workers. I continue to enhance my treatment capabilities with advanced education in Family Systems work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
 
Professionally, I have established myself working in numerous settings with all age groups and cultural backgrounds. I have worked with clients in private practice, outpatient and hospital settings as well as in specialized agency practice. 
 
In my private practice, I focus on families, couples and individuals providing guidance and counseling to improve one’s quality of life and build and elevate self-esteem. As a team we work together to develop coping skills, and create strategies for personal empowerment and the accomplishment of individual goals, and the goals we set together.
